About Me

Hello, I'm Savinu, a frontend engineer focused on building clear, reliable experiences for complex products. I work across the interface lifecycle—from understanding user needs and shaping interaction patterns to building and refining production UI. I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology Calicut , and a Bachelor's degree from Cochin University of Science and Technology.

My journey into frontend development began with a strong interest in design and visual storytelling. What started as experimenting with graphics and motion design gradually evolved into a deep passion for building intuitive, user-centric interfaces using modern web technologies.

Over the years, I've specialized in building scalable applications using Angular and TypeScript, working closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams. I've led UI development for enterprise-scale platforms, contributed to design systems, and worked on modernizing legacy applications into performant, maintainable solutions.

I enjoy partnering with design, product, and engineering teams to turn complex workflows into interfaces that feel straightforward. My current focus is frontend architecture, accessibility, performance, and design systems.

Senior Frontend Engineer & UX Designer @ Jeppesen Foreflight

Feb 2026 - Present

Extended the configurable integration stub into the Mini Job Handler, a temporary interface layer used by other applications while their full Job Handler implementations are being completed; continue to maintain it in production.
Upgraded and maintained the Test and Demo System UI.
Joined a three-engineer team supporting the high-priority Flight Chat project, resolving functional UI issues under tight timelines while ramping up on its Lit-based Web Components architecture.

Frontend Developer & UX Designer @ Jeppesen Foreflight

Oct 2025 - Jan 2026

Designed and built a configurable backend stub to simulate application integrations, allowing development to continue while dependent APIs were delayed.
Designed and developed the Test and Demo System UI, integrating JOC, JCT, and FleetInsight for airline customer demonstrations.
Continued in the role through the October 2025 transition from Boeing to Jeppesen ForeFlight.
